Biography
Independent Non-Executive Director
Kai Sato is a data and platform engineer by training, with a career spent building large-scale distribution and ranking systems. They joined the Montlior Board in 2023 as its youngest member.
They chair the Technology & Data Committee, which scrutinises the Group’s technology investment, information security posture and its use of recommendation and ranking systems across Montlior titles.
Their principal contribution has been the provenance standard now applied to material distributed over Montlior Wire, and the Group policy requiring disclosure of any published material produced without human authorship.
They also sit on the Audit & Risk Committee, where they lead the Board’s review of cyber risk.
