Our commitment

A publisher whose purpose is to inform cannot be selective about who it informs. We aim to make this website usable by everyone, regardless of disability, device or connection speed.

Conformance status

This website is designed and tested to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We assess conformance ourselves, supported by automated testing on every release and manual review at each significant change.

Measures we take

• All text and interface colour combinations are measured against their actual rendered background, including text set over photography, to at least the AA contrast threshold.
• The layout reflows without horizontal scrolling from 280 pixels to ultra-wide displays, and supports 200% zoom without loss of content.
• All functionality is operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link on every page.
• Every image carries meaningful alternative text, or is marked decorative where it adds nothing to meaning.
• Motion is limited to gentle fades, and is disabled entirely when your system requests reduced motion.
• Headings follow a logical order, landmarks are labelled, and the current page is announced in the navigation.
• Forms use real labels, describe their own errors in words, and move focus to the first field that needs attention.

Compatibility

The site is tested with current versions of the major browsers on desktop and mobile, and with the screen readers most commonly paired with them. It does not depend on JavaScript to deliver content: with scripts disabled, every page remains readable and navigable.

Known limitations

We publish our shortcomings rather than wait to be told about them:

• Some documents in the reports and filings archive were issued before our current accessibility standards applied. We remediate on request, and always within ten working days.
• The share price panel presents third-party market data whose formatting we do not control.
• Older archived material reproduced from print may lack structural markup.
